Airlines are not what they used to be!
Bob Johnson - PHX
It is sad that braniff is no longer around this was the best airline to have served the Rio Grande Valley during the 70s and early 80s. I used to drive 45 minutes into Brownsville,Texas just to fly braniff. I could have left from Mcallen which also had an airport but i chose to fly Braniff because of their excellent service.
Armando Pena - Mcallen, Texas
BRANIFF WAS THE BEST AIRLINE TO HAVE EVER SERVED SOUTH TEXAS IN THE 1970S. EVENTHOUGH WE HAD AN OPTION TO FLY FROM TWO OTHER AIRPORTS THAT WERE WITHIN DRIVING DISTANCE,BROWNSVILLE AIRPORT WAS THE PLACE TO FLY FROM, TODAY THE BROWNSVILLE AIRPORT DOES NOT EVEN HAVE AN AIRLINE THEY ONLY HAVE CONTINNENTAL EXPRESS PROP PLANES. AGAIN I WILL SAY THAT THRE WILL NEVER BE AN AIRLINE IN BROWNSVILLE TEXAS, THAT WILL EVER REPLACE BRANIFF.
