As a child, I lived in Santiago, Chile, for two years ('71-'73). Braniff took us there. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but Braniff sure brings back some great memories. It probably is just nostalgia, actually, because there was nothing outstanding about Braniff. The food was God-awful. To this day, some thirty years later, I'm still trying to figure out just what we ate for breakfast as we looked over the Andes. The stewardesses were pretty, though. And I'm sure they all married well, as do most pretty girls. The hotties don't go for the wino bums now do they? A funny story I have to pass on. Remember those little soaps in the bathrooms? (Now they have liquid soap, but in the old days, they had individually wrapped mini-soaps.) Well, I used to love to shove a bunch of those in my pockets. Just as I was leaving the bathroom, I noticed the sanitary napkins. Now, I was just a little fella and had no idea what those were for. But I thought, heck, I'm going to grab a bunch of those, too. I got back to my seat and showed my dad all those sanitary napkins, and he nearly passed out laughing. Great memories. Long live those Flying Colors!

Best airline I ever worked for, including Hawaiian, Muse Air/Transtar, Pan Am, and Delta.

My years as a customer service agent for BN were the best years of my life. I had one of the greatest jobs in the world, made a good living and had fun every day. What wonderful years they were, I think about it all of the time. My wife and daughter are still in the airline business but it's not the same as it was with BN...God I miss it...

Thanks for a superb site, Carlos! Inventive, stimulating and nostalgic. Braniff must have been a great airline...
