I am writing this on behalf of my father Lloyd Harrison. He was based in Dallas and was a reservationist. His years with Braniff spanned from 1956 to 1982. He is starting up with the new Legend Airlines as a reservationist. I sure do miss Braniff. This was the best page and I couldnt stop tears from forming in my eyes. Lots of great memories with my father growing up with Braniff. I am sure my father would love to hear from you all. There is a picture of us on page 9 of my homepage listed above. He is still just as funny as ever. I sure do miss flying free! :-)

j.....VERY GOOD....I LIKE THE FORMAT IA WAS IN MCI '79-'81....AND MY DAD WAS A CSA FOR AS LONG AS I REMEMBER....I REMEMBER MANY TIMES GROWING UP AS AN "AIRLINE BRAT"----BY THAT I MEAN U RODE IN 1ST CLASS EVERY WHERE U WENT. NOT LIKE TODAY---I GOT LAYED OFF IN MCI AND AND ENDED UP IN IAH IN MAY 81--BUT NOT FOR LONG--THEN I GAINED EMPLOYEMENT W/ KLM ROYAL DUTH AIRLINES.----IT WAS TERRIBLE AS I REMEMBER THAT NITE WHEN BRANIFF SHUT DOWN---MY AIRLINE--MY DAD'S AIRLINE CEASED OPERATIONS.... I REMEMBER A CALLING HIM THE NEXT DAY....AND ASKING HOW THEY HANDLED THINGS IN MCI......HE TOLD ME---"I CUDN'T GO HOME....EVEN THOUGH I WAS OFF THE PAYROLL...AND MY PAY-CHECK WAS NO GOOD....THERE WERE STILL A COUPLE PLANES ENROUTE TO MCI---" THIS IS WHAT BOTHERS ME TODAY....COMPANIES DO NOT HAVE THIS DEDICATION FROM THEIR EMPLOYEES....EVEN THOUGH BRANIFF WAS ON ITS LAST BREATH---THE WORKERS STILL CARED....WE SHOULD ALL LEARN FROM THIS GREAT AIRLINE AND ITS WORKERS. AND I...WELL I'VE MEET THE SAME DEFEAT WITH KLM---ROYAL DUTCH AIRLINES---NOT BANKRUPTCY---BUT CORP. GREED---MY AIRLINE DAYS ARE OVER---3 W/BRANIFF AND 18 W/KLM---TO BE BOOTED OUT AGAIN BOTH NOT BY MY CHOICE.

Dear Carlos, I think that your Braniff site is really wonderful. It brings back a lot of happy memories. You really have assembled a great deal of Braniff memorabilia. I purchased the Flying Colors Collection from one of Calder's lithographers in New York in probably 1974. I had seen a notice of their availability in Parade Magazine so when I was in New York I went to see them and I bought them on the spot. They have been cheerful to look at all these years. What I didn't know, until I saw your web site, was what the individual names of each picture was. I was a Braniff pilot from 1966 until 1982 and then again from 1984 until 1989. In the 1970's I flew L.A.D. and enjoyed traveling to South America. I thought that Santiago was a beautiful city. I am retired now and my wife and I live in San Diego. Keep up the good work. Thanks,
